You Made A Difference

Because of your generosity, we were able to accomplish the following in 2022:

$9,200 was given directly to individuals and families affected by the fires in Boulder that occurred in January.

As one family put it in a thank you card,

“When the unimaginable hit, turning our lives completely upside down in a single night, we never imagined the outpouring of support from family, friends, and complete strangers. Nor could we ever imagine how desperately we would need it. Dinners, clothing, household goods, gift cards, cash, replacements of favorite things, help with resources, even help cleaning. These offerings restore us physically and emotionally.”

In May, we gave $4,000 to local Title 1 schools—Lasley Elementary, Emory Elementary, Lumberg Elementary, and Florence Crittenton High School.

In June, we provided $3,000 to support families facing food insecurity at Rose Stein International Elementary School.

In July, we came together to provide a truckload full of school supplies for The Action Center helping children in local schools.

In August, we worked with Rose Stein International Elementary School and identified 30 families in need of particular assistance. The families met us at Target in Belmar, and we were able to provide $250 for each of them to purchase needed back-to-school supplies.

Also in August, we were able to provide $500 directly to teachers at four local schools to assist them in getting essential classroom supplies and snacks for their classrooms.

We were also able to provide $3,000 dollars to organizations that help wounded veterans including the local organization, Houses for Warriors, which provides housing for veterans.

This year’s Habitat for Humanity Pumpkin Patch located at Mile Hi Church and at a church in Arvada raised $109,718—the second-highest total since it began twenty years ago. All proceeds benefited the Native American Reservation which provides us the pumpkins and Habitat for Humanity. Mile Hi Church has been a part of building 22 houses in Denver, and work will start on house #23 in 2023.

Our Harvest of Love Food Drive took place in October. Check out this haul!

Lastly, our biggest project each year is The Giving Tree. This year, we will serve nearly 900 families and the following organizations:

  • Rose Bud Indian Reservation
  • Lakota Way Healing Center—gifts and coats
  • Lumberg Elementary
  • Rose Stein Elementary
  • Belmar Elementary
  • Eiber Elementary
  • Florence Crittenton Services
  • Joshua Station
  • Lambuth Family Center
  • Child Rescue Foundation
  • Serenity Education
  • Mile Hi Church

We have committed to sponsoring three Science of Mind study groups in Ukraine. Not only are we supporting these study groups with curriculum and translation for their groups, but we are also able to help families survive at this time when their country has been invaded and war-torn.

Why do we get to do all of this good at Mile Hi Church raising and distributing over $200,000 in goods and monetary donations? Because of your incredible generosity. Doing all the good we can as individuals in the world is wonderful but can be challenging. Bringing our resources together, be it through finances, volunteering, or expertise helps us make a huge difference in our greater Denver area and in the world.

Thank you for your gifts!
