Youth Suicide and Self-Harm Awareness

The Hi Ground, Love Offering
It can be difficult to navigate conversations about suicide and self-harm.
Research indicates that self-harm occurs in approximately 17% of adolescents with the average age of onset around 12 years old. Suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the US. Most teens and tweens either know a friend who is struggling with these issues or have struggled with these issues themselves.
These talks are designed to:
- Bring awareness to these issues
- Help youth and adults meet these pivotal moments with mindfulness and care
- Equip attendees with a foundation of what to do if a friend or youth is experiencing self-harm or suicidal ideation.
