This informational and education-packed event provides an opportunity for our community to explore the myriad of valuable resources available to those who are family caregivers and caregivers for elders.
Eldercare covers a wide variety of areas, including choosing an appropriate healthcare provider to care for an aging person, making decisions about moving an older adult from home to a residential care setting, as well as legal, medical, and insurance issues.
As more people are living longer into their 80s and 90s, the number of elders needing help with daily living increases as well as the responsibilities of those who provide care for them.
We will start off with a keynote speaker followed by breakout sessions with various topics and conclude with a panel on eldercare. Exhibitors from a wide range of caregiver support services will be available before, during, and after the event.
Keynote Topic: Your Marbles Matter Too. Making Eldercare Easier.
Topics that will be covered in the breakout sessions are:
- Ask the Expert session featuring legal, medical, and insurance experts
- Effective tools for those living with dementia
- Residential options for seniors
- Senior support programs and services
- Reducing caregiver stress and care management
- Productive family conversations
- Organizing your way out of stress
The eldercare panel will answer questions from attendees. Panelists are medical, legal, and senior care experts.
